We are Jeremy and Lisa, a couple with a shared passion for travel and adventure. Over the years, our travels have taken us to many corners of the world, where we've had the pleasure of visiting numerous coffee farms and facilities. These events were always a delightful part of our journeys, enriching our appreciation for the diverse flavors and rich traditions of coffee from different regions. The experiences inspired Jeremy to achieve multiple certifications from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) in the art and science of Coffee Roasting, Sensory Skills, Green Coffee Evaluation & Grading, and Brewing/Extraction Methods & Analysis. Additionally, he has attended training sessions at coffee growing/processing facilities throughout Africa, Asia, and the Americas to better understand the agricultural and logistical aspects of the coffee experience.

Our love for coffee took on a new dimension when we participated in our daughter’s elementary school PTA fundraisers. We noticed how cumbersome and time-consuming traditional fundraisers could be for organizations, often requiring a lot of effort for minimal return. Inspired to make a difference, we envisioned a more enjoyable and efficient way for organizations to raise funds.

The Generous Bean was born. Our mission is simple: to make fundraising easy, enjoyable, and effective. We provide custom-branded coffee and e-commerce websites for organizations, allowing them to fundraise through the sale of our specialty coffee. Freshly roasted locally, our coffee is delivered directly to your door or the organization’s location, ensuring convenience and quality.

As members of the SCA, we take pride in our coffee, sourcing only the finest beans and maintaining close relationships with our growers. Each bag of coffee is a testament to our commitment to quality and sustainability, reflecting the unique flavors of the regions we love.
